I enclose for you an amendment to the zoning ordinance clari-
fying the language relative to camps. Should you wish to introduce
this amendment, a public hearing will be necessary (10 days notice)
and referral of the amendment to the county will also be necessary.
In view of the fact that the amendment seeks to clarify the
language of the existing ordinance rather than to permit additional
or new uses, it would appear that there would be no significant
environmental considerations attached to the amendment of the zoning
ordinance.

An amendment to the zoning ordinance of the Town of Wappinger
for the purpose of clarificatipn of definitions.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger
as follows:
1. The zoning ordinance of the Town of Wappinger adopted
March 11, 1980 is amended by adding to Article 2 (Definitions) the
following definition, the same to be inserted in their appropriate
alphabetical sequence:
CAMP, PRIVATE: A camp for the personal use of its owner
and his guests which is not maintained for hire, remuneration or sale.
CAMP, PUBLIC: A camp which in whole or part is kept or
maintained for remuneration, hire or rent; a camp for transients
for hire, including but not limited to recreational vehicles or other
camping activities providing facilities for overnight stays. A public
camp shall be deemed a recreational use 400Mractivity.
2. This ordinance shall take effect as provided by law.
