(Local Time) on september 23, 1996 for: ROCKINGHAM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT TOWN OF WAPPINGER DUTCHESS COUNTY, NEW YORK for the construction of a new storm sewer. Sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 11:00 A.M. (Local Time) on September 23, 1996 at the Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York. The Information for Bidders, specifications and other Contract Documents may be reviewed at the office of the Town Clerk, Town of wappinger, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York 12590, and at the office of Paggi & Martin, Consulting Engineers, 54-56 Main Street, poughkeepsie, New York 12601. NTB - 1 Drawings and other Contract Documents will be available on August 30, 1996, and may be obtained ONLY at the Town Hall upon deposit of $ 25.00 per set which is non-refundable. Deposit made by check shall be made payable to the Town Clerk. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified Check or Bid Bond in the amount of five (5) percent of the base Bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw a Bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Bid Deposit shall be made in a certified Check from the Bidder or in a Bid Bond on the form of said Bid Bond attached hereto and be drawn payable to the Town of Wappinger. OWNERS RIGHTS RESERVED: The Town of wappinger, herein called the Owner, reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any formality or technicality in any Bid in the interest of the Owner and in accordance with the Law. , NTB - 2 STATEMENT OF NON-COLLUSION: Bidders on this Contract are required to execute the Non-Collusion Bidding certificate, attached herein, pursuant to section 103-d of the General Municipal Law of the state of New York. Bidders are also required to comply with the provision of section 291- 299 of the Executive Law of the state of New York. The Town of wappinger hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively insure that, in regard to any Contract entered into pursuant to this Advertisement, Minority Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin in consideration for any awards. The work required by this Contract shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, supervision, and performing all work necessary to complete project as herein described. The major component of said work are approximately: 1. 308 Linear Feet of 63" x 98" Horizontal Elliptical Reinforced Concrete pipe (HERCP). 2. 1524 Linear Feet of 78" Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP). 3. 304 Linear Feet of 66" RCP 4. One 78" RCP Bend One 66" RCP Bend 5. Two (2) 7'-4" x 13'-4" Drainage Structures. " 6. One (1) 48" Tee Manhole. 7. Two (2) 11'-4" x 11'-4" Drainage Structures. 8. One ( 1) 11'-6" x 11'-4" Drainage Structures. 9. Two (2) 5'-4" x 13'-4" Drainage Structures. NTB - 3 10. One (1) 78" RCP County route "Old Hopewell Road" crossing with 40 linear feet of 18" corrugated metal pipe crossing for future water service. 11. One (1) 66" RCP County route "All Angels Road" crossing with 40 linear feet of 15" corrugated metal pipe crossing for future sewer service. 12. 516 linear feet of 6" perforated PVC with a 8 Oz/sy Geotextile filter fabric wrap for a surface drain trench. 13. A stream inlet at drainage structure No.8 consisting of four linear feet of 30" concrete pipe. 14. The construction of concrete headwall at the inlet of the 63" x 98" HERCP, and the construction of concrete headwall at the outlet of the 66" RCP. 15. Necessary landscaping and fencing work as shown. " NTB - 4 The Town of Wappinger is exempt under the Tax Law, of New York state, Article 28 - Part III, and is exempt from payment of Sales and compensating Use Taxes of the state of New York on all materials which are incorporated into work pursuant to the provisions of the Contract.
