(LOW BIDDER)
The apparent low bidders for both contracts are indicated by bold face type. This office has
reviewed the bids and finds them in order.
We would recommend that Contract No.1 be awarded to the low bidder, Southern Dutchess
Construction, in the amount of $79,600.00, and Contract No.2 be awarded to the low bidder,
Chris Bar Electric, in the amount of $2,600.00.
The Town must also determine if it chooses to accept Add Alternate No.1 under Contract
No.1 - Re-roofing a portion of the existing structure. In as much as we are aware of no
reported roof leaks in this area at this time, the decision is one of aesthetics. \Y/ e do know
from the expansion of the Senior's Center some time ago, the existing shingle is no longer in
production and will not match the new and contiguous canopy roof in exact coloration.
We further recommend the Board authorize the Supervisor to sign the contracts for
construction following the Town Attorney's approval of the performance, labor, material and
payment bonds, as well as the required insurances.
If there are any questions or comments, please contact our office at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
CERNIGLIA & SWARTZ
