2005-12-14 SPMWAIVER OF NOTICE OF TOWN BOARD MEETING
WHEREAS, Supervisor Joseph Ruggiero has called an emergency Town Board meeting
for this Wednesday December 14, 2005 at 7:30 p.m, at the Town Hall of Wappinger for
the purpose of making an amendment to the Town Budget, to correct a clerical error to
reflect a reduction in the levy for 2006 Wappinger Park Water District from Thirty Four
Thousand Six Hundred Forty Six dollars and 00/100 ($34,646.00) to Sixteen Thousand
Nine Hundred Forty Six dollars and 00/100 ($16,946.00); and
WHEREAS, the Town Board members are entitled to 48 hours notice of any special
meeting pursuant to Section 62 of Town Law; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the undersigned certify they are all members of the Town Board
of the Town of Wappinger, and consent to the meeting this evening and waive their right
to 48 hours of notice for such meeting.

A Special Town Board Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger
was held on December 14, 2005, at the Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road,
Wappingers Falls, New York. The purpose of the emergency meeting is to
amend the 2006 Town Budget due to a clerical error to reflect the reduction
in the levy for 2006 Wappinger Park Water District. Supervisor Ruggiero
opened the meeting at 7:37 p.m.

At this time, 7:38 p.m., Councilman Bettina moved to go into Executive
Session, seconded by Councilwoman McCarthy and unanimously carried.
The meeting reconvened at 8:56 p.m. with all board members in attendance
except Councilman Valdati.
The Town Clerk read the following Resolution
RESOLUTION NO.2005-180
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMENDING THE 2006 BUDGET
WHEREAS, the Town Board authorized the Town Budget on November 16,
2005, and
WHEREAS, a clerical error was discovered in the 2006 Town Budget for the
Wappinger Park Water District, and
WHEREAS, the Wappinger Park Water District was originally budgeted as
follows:
Appropriations Less Estimated Less Unexpanded Amount to Be
And Provisions Revenues Balance Raised by Taxes
other uses
$53,440.00 $13,794.00 $5,000.00 $34,646/00
WHEREAS, this would have created a benefit unit charge of Four Hundred
Forty five dollars and 32/100 ($445.32), and
WHEREAS, THE Wappinger Park Water District for the 2006 Town Budget
should have been as follows=

WHEREAS, the new benefit unit charge will be Two Hundred Sixteen dollars
and 52/100 ($216.52), and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if
fully set forth.
2. The 2006 Town Budget is hereby amended to correct the amount of the
tax levy for the Wappinger Park Water District to the sum of Sixteen
Thousand Nine Hundred Forty Six and 00/100 ($16,946.00).
3. The resulting benefit unit assessment will be reduced to the sum of
Two Hundred Sixteen dollars and 52/100 ($216.52).
