RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE TOWN OF WAPPINGER AND WAPPINGER UNITED SOCCER CLUB
The following Resolution was introduced by Mr. Colsey and seconded by
Mr. Paoloni
WHEREAS, the Town Board finds that it is in the best interest of the Town to have the
Wappinger United Soccer Club provide soccer activities for the boys and girls of the community
in accordance with the proposed Agreement between the Town of Wappinger and the Wappinger
United Soccer Club.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set
forth and adopted herein.
2. The Town Board hereby agrees to enter into the written Agreement between the
Town of Wappinger and the Wappinger United Soccer Club in substantially the same form as
attached hereto.
3. Supervisor Joseph Ruggiero is hereby authorized and directed to sign on behalf of
the Town said Agreement between the Town of Wappinger and the Wappinger United Soccer
Club.

Agreement made this - day of 2o_ between The Town of Wappinger
(hereinafter referred to as 'Town), a municipal subdivision having its offices at Wappinger Town Hall,
Midcllebush Road. Wappingers Falls, NY 12590 and
Wappinger United Soccer Club (hereinafter referred to as ~Wappinger United SC'J, a not-for-profit
corporation with its principal offices at 94 Kent Road, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
Whereas the Town wishes to contract with Wappinger United SC for providing services hereinafter
defined, and whereas WappingEe` United SC is willing to provide said services in exchange for
consideration hereirm ter defined; therefore, a is agreed between the parties as follows:

Assignment of such teams shall be made by Wappinger United SC which shaU take into consideration
the age of the partfcipam, skil level, car pool requests, etc.
2. Wappinger Untied SC shall'provide all coaches, instructors, and referee personnel necessary to
provide both instruction and game experience for each youth player. Wappinger United SC shall also
undertake all administrative acts as necessary for the operation of such activities, teams, and club.
3. The Town shall provide adequate faculties in support of the soccer program herein set forth during
those times described in various schedules of Wappinger United SC including soccer fields with goal
posts and nets, comer flags, balls, resttoorres, equipment storage facilities, all as they presently exist, as
they may be provided,`iM as they may be improved. This also includes the continuation of repairs,
maintenance, grass mowing, and custodial services.
4. Wappinger United SC shall provide each intramural youth player with a complete soccer uniform
consisting of soccer jersey, shorts, and socks; each jersey shall be numbered and bear theftminger
United SC logo and team sponsor identificedion (If applicable).
5. The soccer program defined herein shall be provided beginning in the month of January and ending in
the month of December as follows:
Winter program; indoor during the months of December, January, February, and March (based on

6. Wappinger United SC shall procure liability insurance coverage in the amount of five million dollars
for players, coaches, administrators, managers, arld°faciWesr • :

.7, Wappinger United SC shall procure medical Insurance coverage to provide for Medical expenses of
Participants in acoordsnce with the policies and pracsices of the United States Youth Soccer Association
(USYSA) / UrhUed States Soccer Federation (USSF) / frastetn New York Youth Soccer Association
(ENYYSA) whkh aro the appropriate goveming bodies for soccer in this country and state.
8. The terms of this agreement shalt be from the date of execution of this agreement through the last
day of December.
9. The Town shall pay Wappinger United SC the sum oM000.00 in exchange for the programs
provided.

for any claims arising from the same.

13. Wappinger United SC shaft be solely responsible for obtaining additional fimrciRi support necessary
to fulfill its obligations forth* soccer program diflned in.this agr"Ment.
