Resolution Awarding Bid for the Repaving of Roads and Repair of Curbs in the
Rockingham Farms Subdivision 1 & 2
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on August 3,
2009.
The meeting was called to order by Christopher Colsey, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilwoman McCarthy and seconded by
Councilman Bettina.
WHEREAS, by Resolution 2007-172, adopted on May 4, 2009, the Town Board authorized the
solicitation of bids for the repaving of roads and the repair of curbs in the Rockingham Farms Subdivision
Sections 1 and 2; and
WHEREAS, the following bids were received:

H.B. Wiltse Excavating, Inc. $136,900.00
Blacktop Maintenance Corp. $137,762.50
Sun Up Enterprises, Inc. $142,955.00
B & K Excavation, Inc. $167,265.00
Ben Ciccone, Inc. $173,498.00
WHEREAS, by letter dated July 28, 2009, from Morris Associates, Engineers to the Town, it has
been recommended that the lowest responsible bidder is Thomas Gleason, Inc. in the amount of
$123,500.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and
adopted herein.
2. The Town of Wappinger hereby awards the bid for the repaving of roads and the repair of
curbs in the Rockingham Farms Subdivision Sections 1 and 2 to Thomas Gleason, Inc. in'the
amount of $123,500.00.
3. The Town Board hereby authorizes the Supervisor to execute the contract documents as
prepared by Morris Associates, including the Notice of Award and Notice to Proceed and
forward a copy to Thomas Gleason, Inc. after the Attorney to the Town has confirmed that
Thomas Gleason, Inc. has signed the contract documents and has supplied the necessary
Performance Bond, Payment Bond and insurance certificates as required by the bid
specifications.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
