I -~ ...,~".L.~:Ut:' "c,l<,..L..-C; , ZONING ADMI~~_!.~bTQR-- ~/ \ Certified Mail 1240422 - Mr. and Mrs. Bell request a variance to allow a second kitchen installed in their premises to remain in said premises. Presently residing in said premises are Mr. and Mrs. Bell, the Bells' two children, Mrs. Bell's mother and father, and Mrs. Bell's eight year old brother. The request for the variance is sought because of the medical condition of Mrs. Bell's mother and Mrs. Bell's brother. Mrs. Bell's mother suffers from a severe case of diabetes. As a result of her condition, she requires constant attention and supervision. The Bells' have taken the Derivan family into their home to provide the necessary supervisio~ and Gare. Mrs. Bell works during the daytime and Mr. Bell works during the evening so that one party shall always be home to care for l-lrs. Derivan. In addition, Mrs. Bell's eight year old brother suffers from Muscular Dystrophy. As the Board is well aware, Muscular Dystrophy is a crippling muscular disease which is incurable. The child requires constant care and supervision and it is anticipated that his condition will progressively worsen to the point where the child will be confined to a wheelchair. It would be agreeable to Mr. and Mrs. Bell if the Board would grant a variance upon the express condition that the second kitchen would remain so long as Mrs. Bell's mother and brother remained in the premises. In the event Mrs. Bell's mother and' brother no longer resided at the premises, the Bells' would immediately remove the second kitchen. For all of the foregoing reasons, it is respectfully requested that the Zoning Board grant the variance requested. -2-
