PLANNING BOARD
TOWN OF WAPPINGER
TOWN HALL
WAPPINGERS FALLS. NEW YORK 12SDO
Ta.. 2D7.82S7
Report To: zoning Board of Appeals Members
From: Town of wappinger Planning Board
Date: December 8th, 1982
Subject: Application of Robert B. & Elizabeth M. Murphy for
a special Use permit to convert their existing residence
into apartments,on their property located on the corner
of Route 376 & Joel Place, in the Town of Wappinger.
At their December 6th, 1982 meeting, the Planning Board
indicated that they had no objection to the application for
a special use permit and offered the following comments:
1. The parking spaces should be delineated (i.e. concrete
bumper s) .
2. The garbage enclosure should be located closer to
the building rather than adjacent properties.
3. The entrance shall be off of Route 376 with the
exit off of Joel Place and any required permits from the
New York State Department of Transportation and the Town
Highway Superintendent shall be.obtained.
4. The majority of the Planning Board felt that the two
parcels should be combined only if the adjacent lot is
needed for an additional sewage disposal area. However, some
members of the Board felt that the lots should be combined due
to the increased density on the property (five apartments
versus a single-family residence).
