In 1966 the f'irm was purchased' by Smith-Holden, Inc. of' Providence R.I. and Vankleeck's then became a branch of the parent Company, still maintaining the B.D. Van Kleeck name. ".' :~~ .. In 1975, the marketing concept of Smith Holden was changed, in that all merchandise and supplies were to come f'rom a central distribution center at Providence, R.I. We at Van Kleeck's were to maintain strictly a service organization sto~ing only teeth, gold, parts and equipment. At the new Wappingers FallIs location there would be four em- ployees in the building at one time. Two outside salemen and servicemen are on the road at all times and report to home base by phone.
