" The following is an explatnation of my request for a zoning variance. The existing sign on the Subaru building is 4' x 24'.' This sign is in violation of the sign code. However, it has been O.K.'d on the existing tuilding. Since I have relocated my Subaru cars from this buildLlg to Greer Toyota I request to relocate the Subaru sign to a temporary location under the existing Greer Toyota sign. The sign will not be attached to the Toyota building but will be mounted on two supports and will be erected an-proximately 10" in front of the now existing Toyota building. The reason I want this tem~orary move is that I have an agreement with Subaru that in ~arch 1981 I will either add to the now existing Subaru showroom or Bake my permanent home for Subaru at the now existing Toyota bui15ing. I' have been to the Planning Board and will add an addition to the now existing Toyota building. At the com- pletion of the addition to the Toyota'building, I want it understood that I want the option of 1"llacing the sign ner- manently on the addition or retu'l1ing it to the now existing Subaru building. Therefore, my reqaest to move the Subaru sign would be a tempora~J mounting until approximately March 1981. If, however, the Board of Appeals decides not to allow me to re- locate my Subaru sign, I will then leave the sign on the existing Subaru building and put uu a te8norary new sign within the code.
