1) Our in-ground pool is no longer adequately protected because
of the storm sewer installed last year in the vacant area beside
our property. That area has become a playground for children who
play in and around the pipe. We have already had instances of
children climbing over our existing five foot chain link fence.
For that reason, we feel the existing fence does not provide
sufficient physical protection. Furthermore, we have lost the
privacy we once had in our back yard because the children are there,
and because the ground over the pipe just beyond~our property line
is at least two feet higher than it was before the area was re-
graded (as a result of the pipe installation). We feel an eight
foot stockade fence inside the chain link fence will solve both the
protection problem and the privacy problem.
2) There are only two properties adjacent to the vacant area. The
other resident does not have a pool and his property is not
affected as much by the new grading.
3) The fence will not directly adjoin a neighbor's property nor
the public street.
