H. 12590 Dear Mr. Gunderud: I, Ron La Sora wish to thank you for the assistance you have given me as per our phone conversation of August 27, in reguards to a variance which would ~ enable me to retail a clothing product from my property on Rt. 376 and Meyers Corners Road. Attached you will find completed applications and forms that you sent me. One of these forms makes mention of a 'Project Review Sheet', of which I did not receive. If one is necessary, could you please send me a copy? I am writing this letter to make you and the zoning board aware of my ideas and the substance of my variance request. I own and live on 2.7 acres of land situated on the corner of Rt376 and Meyers Corners Road, Wappinger Falls N. Y. I have owned this property since 1972, and both buildings- home, and seperate garage, face Rt376. My proposition is to turn approximately one half of the two car garage into a store 'more or less' where I can sell blue jeans, and like denim products. This would be strictly a part time operation only open 4 to 5 hours per day. r do not \vish to be open on Sundays. I have recently been divorced, and consequently have lost the earning power of my ex-wife. This part time venture may help in the restoration of lost revenue. r assure you, and the board, that my property has never been or ever will be an eye-sore to the community. This enterprise will be handled in good taste. Statistics #1 The area to be used for this business would be appx. 325 sq. ft. of garage space. #2 The garage is six years old, wood and frame structure. #3 There is ample parking available in my driveway for at least 8 cars. #4 This small business would not create a traffic situation on either road. #5 A small non-illuminated sign would be used for business identification. #6 I do not anticipate any controversy over this project as all lands bordering me on all sides, are engaged in some type of business.
