Dear sirs.& madam:
The proposed A-Kitch~~ Restaurant now
under construction is located on Old Post
Road, Wappingers Falls, N.Y..
As you know, th~ Old Post Road runs
parallel to Route 9, is only about one mile
in length and is set back approximately 100
feet from Route 9. The said restaurant build-
ing which is under construction now is set
back 260 feet from Old Post Road, i.e. 360
feet away from the edge of shoulder of the
nearest Route 9: Based on this situation,
the restaurant 'is hardly visible from Route 9.
The Old Post Road is so short and.light in
traffic that is is rarely known even by locals.
During the construction period, most of the
construction materials delivery truck drivers
who are familiar with most of the raads in
the area had missed the exit on Route 9 to
the Old Post Road. Due to the abov~ stated
reasons, I hereby make this application. Your
consideration of granting a varience to put
two signs on the restaurant property as shown
on the plan on attachment sheet *2 will give
some exposure of the restaurant and is most
vital to the business. One sign displays the
logo of the restaurant, the other is direct-
ional to ehe approach of the restaurant.

The variance is granted to Mr. Shen with the following
conditions:
1. Sign number 2 shall be removed one year after date of
erection of said sign. Appellant shall notify the Zoning
Administrator when the sign is erected.
2. Signs shall be illuminated during business hours only.
3. Signs shall conform to the size requirements (square footage)
of the Town of wappinger Zoning Ordinance.
4. Setback of the signs is approved per plan provided by the
Appellant.
