A VARIANCE IS REQUESTED for the following reasons: I) Strict application of the Zoning Ordinance would produce undue hardship because: strict application would allow a single-family dwelling. The buildin, is existing and of a size 7S' x 22'6" and much larger than the dwelling area needed for my wife and myself. 2) The hardship created is unique and is not shared by all properties alike in the immediate vicinity of this property and in this district because: the building is recognized as a legally non-conforming 8-unit hotel building at present. 3) The variance would observe the spirit of the Ordinance and would not change the character of the district because: a 3-family residence is more in keeping with the residential district that the a-unit hotel building. (see other remarks below) b.
