Dear N~. O'Neill:
At a special meeting of the Town of Wappinger
Zoning Board of Appeals, held on April 26, 1966, the
following action was taken on your application for
a variance of the sideyard regulations to permit the
construction of a garage addition to your residence
within 7 ft. of your property line.
A motion was made by David Koffsky, seconded by
Thomas Graham, to grant the requested variance on
the grounds that:
1. The house was constructed prior'to zoning,
and that the owner has testified that it was
his intent to construct the garage in its
present position.
2. Space on the other side of his house is
insufficient to construct a garage within the
requirements of the Ordinance.
3. To move the garage to the rear of the property
would require relocation of septic tank and
drainfield, this constituting an unnecessary
hardship.
4. The addition of this garage would not be
out of character to the surrounding neighborhood.
