Meeting called at 12:45 p.m. for the purpose of adopting
preliminary budget.
Public hearing set - 8:00 p.m. on the 10th day of November,
1966, for the purpose of....
Franoese - I don't go for the uniforms. I think you will find that
every elected official in this Town has put in for a raise except for
our Supervisor. He is Supervisor in the second largest town. More
problems. Should get at least 51,000 raise - salary of anywhere from
$4,500 to $6,000.
B. Bulger read from the book - starts on page 64 at blue line and
continues through to page 66 at blue line.
Bulger - move recess adjourned.
Advertlt*e in the Wappingers and Southern Dutchess News on or
before the 27th day of October.
Move resolution - made by Clausen, seoonded by Bulger.
Adopting preliminary budget and at the same time set a public hearing
for final acceptance.
Diehl - Object to raise in salary for myself and omission of allowance
for Chelsea Road.
Fulton - the fact that we adopt this budget tonight we are acting
pursuant to law that we're supposed to produce a budget by tomorrow mornin
g.
Clausen - you oan always knock it out, but there is not enough to begin
with.
Fulton - I'm not agreeing with everything in that budget as it is now.
If you don't feel there is enough money in it.
Franoese - two things you can up anytime you want to and one is highway.

You cannot increase or decrease anything except fire districts or
estimated revenues.
Francese - you can increase any highway budget.
Diehl - by a majority vote.
