Dear Joe and Karl:
Reference is made to Karl's memo regarding "retro fees". Several years ago, it was
decided that additional fees should be charged to those people who had outstanding
building permits and never called for tinal inspections. 1 belIeve the source of that came
from one of Karl' s predecessors, but basically it is my understanding that anyone who
has an expired building permit was supposed to pay the retroactive fee in order to get a
Certificate of Occupancy issued.
