2010-0762010-76 Resolution Authorizing Change Order No. 3 for the Highway Garage HVAC Project At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on February 8, 2010. The meeting was called to order by Christopher Colsey, Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the following were present: PRESENT: Supervisor - Christopher J. Colsey Councilmembers - William H. Beale Vincent F. Bettina Ismay Czarniecki Joseph P. Paoloni ABSENT: The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Beale and seconded by Councilwoman Czarniecki. WHEREAS, the Engineers to the Town, Morris Associates Engineering Consultants, PLLC, have approved Change Order No. 3 to the Contract for the Town of Wappinger Highway Garage HVAC Project, as per letter dated January 19, 2010, a copy of which has been provided to the Town Board in advance of this resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows: 1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and adopted herein. 2. The Town Board hereby approves Change Order No. 3 in the amount of Nine Hundred Forty - Eight Dollars and 75/100 ($948.75), dated December 30, 2009, for the Town of Wappinger Highway Garage HVAC Project Contract between the Town of Wappinger and Airflow Air Conditioning, Refrigeration & Heating, Inc., resulting in a new contract sum in the amount of Two Hundred Fifty -Seven Thousand, Four Hundred Twenty -Two Dollars and 75/100 ($257,422.75), for the reasons and associated costs set forth in the letter dated January 19, 2010, from Morris Associated Engineering Consultants, PLLC. This revised change order shall replace the original Change Order #3, dated December 30, 2009, as further clarification of the work that was performed. Upon further investigation by the electrical contractor, it was discovered that the circuit for the gasoline pump in Garage #2 did not meet code, there needed to be a separate ground circuit. The circuit was replaced with a two pole switch and a new circuit breaker in Garage #2. Also, it was necessary to remove and replace an electrical sub -panel in Garage #1 to accommodate the additional circuits that were required. We requested the contractor, Airflow Air Conditioning, Refrigeration & Heating, Inc. to provide the cost for material installation. The amount provided is $948.75. Therefore, the new contract total will be $$257,422.75 ($256,474.00+ $948.75 = $257,422.75). It should be noted that this work was completed by the electrical contractor in order to not further delay the installation of the heating units and exhaust fans in Garage #1.
