Zion Church to institute
Father Webber as rector
WAPPINGERS FALLS — The
Rev. Michael B. Webber will be in-'
stituted as the 14th rector of Zion
Episcopal Church by the Rt. Rev.
Paul Moore Jr., bishop of New York,
at4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12.
A graduate of Philadelphia Divini-
ty School, Father Webber was or-
dained to the priesthood in November
of 1962 in the Diocese of Long Island.
From 1962-1967 he ministered to a
parish of 10 congregations in the
Diocese of Damaraland, Tsumeb,
South Africa.
He has also served as vicar of St.
Cuthbert's, Selden, L.I., and as rec-
tor of St. Peter's, Port Chester, until
his appointment to Zion. He has serv-
ed on the Diocesan Committee for
Ecumenical Relations, Diocesan
Planning and the Department of
Educational Ministries.
Father Webber lives with his wife,
Katherine, and their three children
at 14 Tor Road in Wappingers Falls.
