Wappingers Falls, has
received a grant from the
Dutchess Arts Council which
will enable the library to offer
a series of workshops to the
public. On Friday, Nov. 19
from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, a
Christmas wreath workshop
will be offered. Mrs. Pat
Moore will lead the class in
construction of a burlap
wreath. The second
workshop will be Friday, Dec.
3, 10 a.m. to 12 noon and will
involve making a rattan mat
wall hanging. There will be no
charge for these workshops,
However, enrollment is
limited so register early. Be
sure to ask for a list of
supplies needed.
There will be a Christmas
workshop for elementary age

children on Saturday, Dec. 4
conducted by Mrs. Zita
Kobos. Registration is
required. Call the library for
more details.
On Monday, Nov. 29, the
library will initiate a series of
book discussions. The first
book will be 'THREE BY
FLANNERY' by Flannery
O'Connor. Mrs. Sara Mc-
Williams will lead the
discussion which begins at
10 a.m. in the Community
Room. The library has several
copies of the book on reserve
for loan. Please notify the
library if you wish to attend
this interesting book
discussion. Other book
discussions will be held in
January, February, and
March. They will be on 'I

There is a new policy in
effect at the library. Books on
reserve may be borrowed for
two weks and are not
renewable. This will inlcude
only current bestsellers and
other books having three or
more poeple on the waiting
list. This policy will decrease
turn -around time enabling
more people to obtain new
books sooner...
The library has been ex-
panding the large print
collection. In addition to the
large print collection loaned
to us by the Mid -Hudson
Library System, we now have
a well-rounded collection of
our own. Periodically we will
be adding new titles.
During the month of
November, Erwin Bruening
will exhibit photographs in
the Community Room.
Bruening, a local
photographer, also services
and repairs cameras.
