Resolution Creating Escrow Account for Proposed Maloney Road Water District
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New
York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on May 10, 2010.
The meeting was called to order by Christopher Colsey, Supervisor, and upon roll being called,
the following were present:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Paoloni and seconded by Supervisor
Colsey.
WHEREAS, John Lawrence, the owner of the shopping center known as New Hackensack Plaza,
has requested that the Town Board explore the possibility of creating a Water District which would
provide potable water to various properties in the vicinity of Maloney Road and Route 376; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board has authorized the Town professionals, Engineer to the Town and
Attorney to the Town, to conduct preliminary studies and investigations to determine the viability of
creating such a Water District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and
adopted herein.
2. The Town Board hereby determines that an escrow account in the amount of $10,000.00
shall be posted by John Lawrence to defray the professional fees of the Town's
consultants, who are charged with the responsibility of determining the feasibility and
viability of creating a Water District in the general vicinity of Maloney Road and Route
376 and forwarding their recommendation to the Town Board.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
