Dear Mr. Degnan:
Your application for a Sign Permit, received by this office on June 2, 2009, is
hereby DENIED on the basis of Sections 240-29 F.(l)(d) of Wappinger
Zoning Law, which stipulates the following:
".......on buildings having signs on two sides, the sign area on the
side fa~ade shall not exceed V2 the allowable sign area on the front
fa~ade or 50 square feet, which ever is less. "
The signage on the north side of the building at present equals 50 square
feet as permitted by the above referenced Section of the Code. You had
previously been advised that no additional signs could receive Sign Permits.
You have the right to appeal this decision to the Zoning Board of Appeals
within 60 days of the date of this letter. The Zoning Board of Appeals meets
the second and fourth Tuesday of the month. The area variance appeal will
require at least two meetings, one for discussion and one for a Public
Hearing. I enclose the necessary forms for your appeal.
