A Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger was
held on November 20th, 1989 at the Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road,
Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York.
Supervisor Paino opened the Meeting at 8:00 P.M.
Present:
Irene Paino, Supervisor
Vincent Farina, Councilman

This meeting was scheduled at the Regular Meeting of the Town Board
held November 6th, 1989, for the purpose of adopting the Benefit
Assessment Rolls for the Water and Sewer Districts and Improvement
Areas of the Town.
Public Hearings on the Benefit Assessment Rolls for the Water and
Sewer Districts were held on November 20th, 1989 and at this time
were placed before the Board for their consideration.
The following resolution was offered by SUPERVISOR PAINO who moved
its adoption:
WHEREAS, the Town Assessor did prepare at the direction of
the Town Board, the Assessment Roll for the Central Wappinger Water
Improvement Area, for the assessment to be levied in 1990, and
WHEREAS, said Assessment Roll was filed with the Town Clerk
of the Town of Wappinger, and
WHEREAS, she thereafter gave notice by posting upon the
bulletin board of the Town and in the newspaper published within
the Town of the time and place when the Town Board would conduct
a hearing and hear objections upon or to said roll, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger did meet on
the 20th day of November, 1989, to consider and hear objections
of said roll,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Assessment Roll of
1989, for the Central Wappinger Water Improvement Area for taxes
to be collected in 1990, be approved, ratified and confirmed and
adopted, and the Supervisor and Town Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute the warrant for collection of said taxes
in the manner prescribed by Law.

Although Mrs. Smith voted in favor of the Benefit Assessment Rolls,
she commented that the surplus money in those districts with a zero
assessment should have been spread over a three or four year period
instead of having to raise the assessment next year.
There was no other business to come before the Board.
MRS. PAINO moved to close the Special Meeting, seconded by Mr. Farina
and unanimously carried.

The figure for 1990 was stated at $185.59, increased from $22.38 in
1989 due to storage tanks that had to be installed per Dutchess County.
Department of Health to eliminate the shortage of water in that District.
Mrs. Paino asked for comments from the public on the Benefit Assessment
for the Fletwood Water District. There were no comments made on this
subject matter.

for the Benefit Assessment on the Tall Trees Water Improvement Area.
There were no comments made or questions asked on the proposed rate.

Mrs. Paino asked for comments from those present regarding the Benefit
Assessment for this District. No one spoke on the matter.
