1989-10-30 SPM222 A Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger was held on October 30, 1989, at the Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York. Supervisor Paino opened the Meeting at 7:40 P.M. Present: Irene Paino, Supervisor Vincent Farina, Councilman David Reis, Councilman Robert Valdati, Councilman Elaine H. Snowden, Town Clerk Absent: Constance Smith, Councilwoman Notice was sent to all Town Board Members on October 25th, 1989, calling the meeting for October 30th, 1989 at 7:30 P.M. for the purpose of cancelling the previously scheduled Public Hearing on the Preliminary Budget and reschedule same. Notice was sent to the News Media and posted on the Town Clerk's Bulletin Board on the same day. MRS. PAINO moved to cancel the Public Hearing of November 2, 1989 which was previously set for the Preliminary Budget of 1990 for the Town of Wappinger. Seconded by Mr. Reis Motion Unanimously Carried The following Resolution was offered by SUPERVISOR PAINO who moved its adoption: RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger will meet and review the Preliminary Budget of 1990 and hold a Public Hearing thereon, at the Town Hall on the 9th day of November, 1989, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., and that at such hearing any person may be heard in favor of or against the Preliminary Budget as compiled or for or against any item or items therein contained. Seconded by: Councilman Reis Roll Call Vote: 4 Ayes 0 Nays Mrs. Smith ---Absent MRS. PAINO moved to hold a Special Meeting on November 9, 1989 at 7:45 P.M. to consider the adoption of the Preliminary Budget of 1990. Seconded by Mr. Reis Motion Unanimously Carried MRS. PAINO moved that the Town Clerk readvertise the Notice of Public Hearing for the Preliminary Budget with the salaries that were adopted in the Preliminary Budget as follows: 223 Supervisor $24,500 Councilman 6,500 each Town Clerk 30,740 Highway Supt. 35,400 Seconded by Mr. Reis Motion Unanimously Carried A Memo was received from Mr. Levenson requesting permission for additional members of the Planning Board to attend the County Planning Federation Dinner at a cost of $20.00 per person. MR. REIS moved to grant permission to James Mills, John Perillo and Don Keller to attend this dinner and their legitimate expenses will be a Town charge. Seconded by Mr. Farina Motion Unanimously Carried There was no other business to come before the Board. MRS. PAINO moved to close the Special Meeting, seconded by Mr. Valdati and unanimously carried.
