A Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger was
held on April 13th, 1989, at the Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road,
Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York.
Supervisor Paino opened the meeting at 7:35 P.M.
Present:

This meeting was set by the Supervisor at the regular meeting on
April 3, 1989, for the sole purpose of setting a Public Hearing on
Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map.
The following Resolution was offered by SUPERVISOR PAINO who moved
its adoption:
WHEREAS, the Town Board has received various proposals from
the Growth Management Committee for Amendments to the Zoning
Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, on April 3, 1989, the Town Board received the most
recently revised proposal, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board is desirous of receiving public comment
and input with respect to said Amendments, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Town Board at the same time
to consider the public's comments with respect to any perceived
environmental impact said Amendments may have, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Town Board to implement the
Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance following a Public Hearing prior
to the expiration of the presently existing Interim Zoning Law,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Board of the
Town of Wappinger will conduct a Public Hearing on the llth day
of May, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road,
Town of Wappinger, to consider the annexed Amendments to the
Zoning Ordinance and the adoption of a new Zoning Map for the
Town of Wappinger, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that comment will be further received
on that date and time with respect to the Environmental Assessment
Form prepared and filed with the Town Board, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Clerk be and hereby is
directed to publish a Notice of Public Hearing and the proposed
Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance as well as the proposed Zoning
Map in the official newspaper of the Town of Wappinger, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Board be and hereby is
directed to forward a copy of the proposed Amendments and a
Zoning Map to the Dutchess County Department of Planning, for
their review and comment, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Clerk shall forward a
copy of the Notice of this Hearing to the Clerks of all of the
Municipalities adjacent to the Town of Wappinger, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Clerk shall immediately,
forward a request to the Planning Board of the Town of Wappinger
for their comments and recommendations with respect to these
Amendments and proposed Map in accordance with Section 602 of
the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Wappinger.

Roll Call Vote: 5 Ayes 0 Nays
MR. REIS moved to close the Special Meeting, seconded by Mr. Valdati
and unanimously carried.
