Gentlemen:
This is in reference to the agreement6e) between the
Town of Wappinger (hereinafter called the Customer) and
Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation (hereinafter called the Company)
dated September I, 1961
regarding street lighting furnished within the Chelsea Lighting District
The Company has reviewed its street lighting standards and prac-
tices and proposes to revise the schedule of lamps offered to its customers
to include several new high efficiency mercury vapor lamps and to designate
all of its outmoded and less efficient incandescent lamps as non-standard.
To effect these changes the schedule of lamp types, sizes and
charges included under Section B.2.a. of the agreement dated
September 1. lq61 is hereby withdrawn as of the effective date of this
agreement and the following revised schedule is substituted and will apply
to all lamps installed, during the remainder of the term of the agreement
dated September 1. lq61

a. Lamp Charges
For each lamp of the type and rating specified below installed
at new locations or substituted for existing lamps at any location sub-
sequent to the effective date of this agreement, the annual charge per
lamp will be as follows:

* The lamps designated non-standard are not offered for installation
at new locations or for modernization or extension of existing
street lighting systems. However, non-standard lamps may be in-
stalled at the Customer's request subject to the Company's consent
and payment by the Customer of an annu~l charge determined by the
Company at the time of installation of such lamps.
If lamps of type or rating differing from those listed above are
installed during the term of this agreement, the annual charge will be in-
creased by an appropriate amount determined by the Company at the time of
installation of such lamps.
Charges for lamps installed prior to the effective date of this
agreement will continue to be made at the rates specified in the agreement(X)
dated September 1, 1961
previously effective.
These changes shall become effective on May 1, 1966
and shall remain in effect until term:triate.d in accordance witP Section E, Term
of the original agreement dated September 1, 1961
Except as herein provided, all provisions of the original agreement
dated September 1, 1961 shall remain in effect.

If this proposal meets 'W'ith your spproWl, please indicate your
acceptance below and return both copies of this agreement to us for our
formal acceptance after which we will return one copy for your records.
When thus accepted by both parties, this agreement shall constitute a
contract binding upon the parties hereto and their successors and assigns.

WHEREAS, the Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation has re-
viewed its street lighting standards and practices and proposes to revise
the schedule of lamps offered to its customers and
WHEREAS, the Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation has sub-
mitted a proposed modification of the agreement dated September 1, 1961
for street lighting within the Chelsea
Lighting District which will enable it to effect said revision.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the modifying agreement
dated
May 1, 1966
as submitted by the Central Hudson Gas &
Electric Corporation be and is hereby approved, and it is further
