HUGHSONVILLE LIGHTING DISTRICT IN THE TOWN
OF WAPPINGER, DUTCHESS COUNTY, NEW YORK, AND
TO t40RE ADEQUATELY DElINE THE BOUNDARIE;; IN
THE IXI~TING HUGHSONVILLE LIGHTING DISTRICT.

WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutches
County, New York, at a repler ...ting held at the Town Hall in
the Village of Wappingers Falls on the 9th ~y of May, 1963, made
an order, pursuant to the provisions of Artie Ie 12-.A of the Town
Law. to extend, in said Towaeb1p. the Bup.onville L1&btial
District, and to provide improvements and services, and both, in
such district, as extended, wholly at the expense of the district,
which said lighting district, as proposed to be extended, is
bounded and described as follows:
BIGIDIHG at a point in the center of the Wappin-
ger Creek. said point being in the division line between
tbe Town of Poughkeepsie and the Town of Wappinger at the
intersection of said division line with the east shore of
the Budson liver; thence l'UDniDI in a northeasterly direc-
tion aloal said centerline and divisioD line to a point
at its intersection with the corporate line of the Village
of Wappingers 'aIls; tbence along said corporate line
southerly, southeasterly and easterly to a point 200 feet
eastarly of tae centerl1De of the Mew York State Hipay.

the extenaion thereof, are benefited thereby, and
IT 13 FURTHER RESOLVED AND DETERMINED THAT all of the
property and property owners benefited are included within tbe
limits of the district as extended, and the extension; and
IT 13 FURTHER RESOLVED AND DETERMINED THAT the pub lie
ineerest of the Hulb.onville L1&bt1na District in the Town of
Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, will be promoted and best
served by tbe extension of the said district, as proposed, and
extension of the facilities therein, as proposed, subject to the
limitation, however, that the cost of tbe additional facilities
shall not exce.d, annually, the maximum amount of Two Thousand
($2,000.00) Dollars in addition to the cost presently paid by
said district for supplyin& of the services in connection there-
with; aDd
IT 13 FURTHER U30LVED AND DETERMINED THAT the foregoing
resolutions be adopted subject to a penniasive referendum.
The question of the adoption of the foregoing resolu-
tions was duly put to a vote or rDll call, which resulted as
follows:

AND WHEREAS. the Town Clerk of the Town of Wappinger, as
provided by law. bas posted and publisbed a notice settinl forth
the date of the adoption of said resolutions. with an abstract
of tbe same consisaly stating the purpose and effect thereof and
that such resolutions were subject to a permissive referendum; an

WBlIlAS, no petition requesting the matter be submitted
to a referendum has been filed with the Town Clerk of the Town of
wappinger and the time to do so has expired; and
WHlUAS, the Town Clerk of the Town of wappinger has
filed her certificate stating no such petition has been filed
with her, which said certificate has been filed in the Office of
the Clerk of the County of Dutchess;
IT IS ODEIED THAT the Supsonville Lighting District
be extended to include the premises hereinbefore described, and
each and every part thereof, and tut the additional street
lighting facilities hereinbefore referred to be installed within
said district, and the extension thereof, and that a certified
copy of this order, adopted pursuant to the provisions of Article
12-A of the Town Law be recorded in the Office of the Clerk of
the County of Dutchess and filed in the Office of the State
Department of Audit and Control at Albany, New York, within 10
days thereof.
