OF WAPPINGER, DUTCHESS COUNTY, NID~ YORK,
IN AN EASTERLY DIRECTION TO INCLlmE CERTAIN
AREAS BETWEEN NEW YORK STATE HIGHWAYS ROUTE
9-D and ROUTE 9, A1~ TO MOP~ ADEQUATELY
DEFINE THE BOUNDARIES IN THE EXISTING HUGH-
SONVILLE LIGHTING DISTRICT.

WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of wappinger, pur-
suant to the provisions of Article 12-A of the Town Law, has
determined to extend in said Township the Hughsonville Light-
ing District, and to provide improvements and services, and
both, in such district, as extended, wholly at the expense of
the district, which said lighting district, as proposed to be
extended, is more fully bounded and described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the center of the
wappinger Creek, said point being in the
division line between the Town of pough-
keepsie and the Town of wappinger at the
intersection of said division line with
the east shore of the Hudson River; thence
running in a northeasterly direction along
said centerline and division line to a
point at its intersection with the corporate
line of the Village of wappinger Falls;
thence along said corporate line southerly,
southeasterly and easterly to a point 200
feet easterly of the centerline of the New
York state Highway, Route 9D; thence running
in a southerly direction on a line parallel
to and 200 feet distant easterly of the
centerline of said highway 1,300 feet more
or less to a point in the centerline of the
road known as Middlebush Road; thence run-
ning in an easterly direction along the
centerline of said road 1,600 feet more or
less to a point, said point being on the ex-
tension of the westerly line of a right of
way leading into Cameli Acres, said westerly
line of said right of way also being the wes-
terly line of the cameli Acres Lighting Dis-
trict; thence running along the boundary line
of the said Cameli Acres Lighting District the

feet to a point, said point being the south-
easterly corner of the carneli Acres Lighting
District; thence running in an easterly direc-
tion 1,360 feet more or less, crossing New
York State Highway Route 9 at right angles, to
a point 200 feet distant easterly of the center-
line of said highway, said point also being
1,500 feet more or less southerly of the inter -
section of Route 9 and Middlebush Road; thence
running in a southerly direction 2,300 feet more
or less on a line parallel to and 200 feet dis-
tant easterly of the centerline of said Route 9
crossing the Hughsonville-Hopewell Road to a
point 400 feet distant southerly of the said
Hughsonville-Hopewell Road; thence running in
a westerly direction 450 feet more or less along
a line which crosses New york state Highway
Route 9 at a point 400 feet southerly of the in-
tersection of saidhighway and the said liughson-
ville-Hopewell Road to a point in the westerly
boundary of the Wappinger Park Development;thence
running along the boundary line of said develop-
ment the following courses and distances S 80 111
W 515.10 feet, N 840 03' W 225.42 feet, N 140 05'
W 140.51 feet, S 590 281 ,1/ 321.15 feet and_ S 590
45' w 487.35 feet to a point, said point marking
the southerly corner of Lot 3, Block H of said
development; thence continuing in a southwesterly
direction 1,050 feet more or less to a point,
at the southeasterly corner of lands now or for-
merly of Noto; thence running in a northerly
direction 2,150 feet more or less along the
easterly boundary of lands of the said Noto to
the northeasterly corner of said lands; thence
running in a southeasterly direction along the nor-
therly boundary of lands now or formerly of Noto,
and Bennett 5,000 feet more or less, crossing a
road known as Ketchamtown Road, to a point in the
easterly line of lands now or formerly of Kligerman;

thence running in a northwesterly direction
along the northerly line of lands of the
said Kligerman 650 feet more or less to the
center of Route 9D and continuing along said
line 2,300 feet more or less to the north-
easterly corner of lands of the said Kligerman;
thence running in a southwesterly direction
along the northerly line of lands of the said
Kligerman and lands now or formerly of Crawford
1,400 feet more or less to the northwesterly
corner of lands of the said crawford; thence
running in a southerly direction along the
westerly line of lands of the said Crawford 800
feet more or less to a point at the intersection
of stone walls; thence running in a southwesterly
direction along a stone wall 1,500 feet more or
less to a point in the centerline of the road
knol-In as Hheeler Hill Road, said point being 1,300
feet more or less distant northwesterly from the
intersection of said road and the road known as
the Reeves By~pass; thence running in a north-
westerly direction along the centerline of said
road 1,550 feet more or less to an angle in said
road; thence running in a northerly direction
along the centerline of said road 400 feet more
or less to a point, said point being an extension
of the northerly line of lands now or formerly
of the Good Council Novitiate; thence running in
a westerly direction along the northerly line of
lands of the said Good Council Novitiate 800
feet more or less to a point on the east shore
of the Hudson River; thence running in a northerly
direction along the east shore of the Hudson River
to the point or place of beginning; and
\tffiEREAS, it is proposed that lights shall be installed'l
initially, at the locations shown on a map of said lighting dis- I
trict, as extended, and subsequently at other locations to be
determined and designated by the Town Board of said Township,
and within the proposed extension of said lightine district; and
~mEREAS, the maximum amount proposed to be expended for
the supplying of service in connection with such proposed addi-
tional street lighting, within said lighting district, as ex-
tended, shall not exceed the sum of Three Thousand ($3,000.00)
Dollars annually; and
WHEREAS, the proposed additional street lighting to be
installed in said district, as extended, shall consist of the
following, to wit: New Hamburg - Hopewell Road - 2500 lumen,

HHEREAS, a copy of a general map, plan and report
for providing the facilities, improvements and services with
respect to such lighting district, as extended, is now on
file in the Town Clerk's Office in the ~own of wappinger, Mill
street, WappingersFalls, New York,and is available for public
inspection; it is hereby
ORDERED, That a public hearing shall be held at the
Hughsonville Fire House Hughsonvi~le,
~ Town of Wappinger, county of Dutchess and state of New
York, on the 25th day of April, 1963 at 8:00 o'clock in the

afternoon of that day, to consider and take action upon the
proposed extension of the Hughsonville Lighting District, and
the extension of the services therein, all as hereinbefore set
forth, pursuant to Article 12-A of theTown Law of the state
of New York, and at such time and place the Town Board of the
Town of Wappinger will meet to consider such proposed extension
of said lighting district and to hear all persons interested in
the subject thereof, concerning the same; and for such other
action on the part of said Town Board wi th relation to such
matter as may be required by law or proper in the premises.
