Dear Sir and/or Madam:
My name is John Fenton and I have been the Code Enforcement Officer/Building Inspector in
the Village ofWappingers Falls for the past three years. As part of my job duties I enforce all
aspects of the New York State Property Maintenance Code and all Local Village Codes. In the
last three years I have considerably cleaned up the Village issuing Orders to Remedy for high
grass and weeds, unlicensed/unregistered vehicles and garbage and trash on property. I am
interested in working for your municipality on a part time basis. I could be available weekdays
after 4:30 p.m. and all day on weekends. For your information I have attached a copy of my
resume for your consideration. I am strictly interested in the property maintenance issues that
municipalities have and would follow through from "cradle to grave." In other words I would
issued the order to remedy, do the reinspect, issue the appearance ticket and ifnecessary appear
in court to prosecute the appearance ticket. On a sidenote I would make it clear from the start
that this part time job would not interfere with my duties as full time Code Enforcement
OfficerlBuilding Inspector in the Village ofWappingers Falls.
Thank you in advance for your consideration in this matter. I look forward to hearing from you.
