Colsey TOWN BOARD William H. Beale Vincent Bettina Ismay Czarniecki Joseph P. Paoloni Recreation Department Supervisor Office NOV 04 2010 Received November 3,2010 Memo To: Supervisor Christopher Colsey, Councilman William Beale Councilwoman Ismay Czamiecki Councilman Vincent Bettina, Councilman Joseph Paoloni Gary Trudell Town Recreation Committee From: Subject: I am writing to let you know that my wife, Marion, and I will be moving to Colorado in early December. This means that I will have to vacate my position on the Town Recreation Committee. It has been my pleasure to serve, at your convenience, on the Recreation Committee. Serving in this capacity has allowed me to work as a volunteer at Carnwath Farms Park, a pursuit which has brought me a great deal of satisfaction. It has also allowed me to help facilitate Marion's work with the gardens at the park and to help turn her vision of a winter festival at the park into a reality. I am especially grateful for the trust you bestowed upon me in naming me the vice chairman of the Recreation Committee. This title allowed me to work with four young men, from the town, on their Eagle Scout Service Projects. These projects have resulted in significant capital improvements to the park and have helped solidify its position as the crown jewel of the town's parks. Attached to this letter is a pamphlet that one of the scouts did as part of his project. Now that the trail markers are installed for the Town of Wappinger Trail at the park, I would encourage each of you to walk the trail and see for yourself the improvements that the scouts have implemented. Marion and I will miss Wappingers and the many wonderful people we have come to know. But it is time to get closer to our grandchildren while they are still children. We wish you all the best as you move the Town forward.
