Owner/Director of fundraising and urban planning firm that
assists municipalities and non-profits in Main Street
restoration, open space preservation, value-added
agricultural marketing, readaptation of historic buildings,
event planning, and grant writing.
2007-2009
Executive Director, Island Affordable Housing Fund
Director of 501 c3 non-profit considered the voice of
funding and building of affordable housing on Martha's
Vineyard. Responsible for a 2-million dollar budget and a
5-million dollar capital campaign. While under my
leadership, the Fund more than doubled the dollar amount
of donations fundraised, and in 2008, raised the most money
in a single event in the history of fundraising on Martha's
Vineyard. Focused fundraising towards green and
sustainable development.
1994-2006
New York State Assemblyman
Elected for six, two-year terms representing more than
120,000 constituents. Participated in crafting the New York
State budget, researched and wrote state legislation and
performed constituent service. Served as Chairman of the
Assembly Minority Steering Committee that crafted
conference policy and promoted policy statewide. Past
participation on the Agriculture, Housing, Environmental
Conservation, Transportation, and Banking committees.
Political work included devising and implementing
campaign strategy, fundraising, planning campaign events,
coordinating staff and volunteers and public speaking.

Owner, Hudson Valley Fiber Farm
Owns and operates a Cormo sheep and Angora goat farm
in the Hudson Valley. Originator of the yarn and fiber CSA.
Owner, Big Pat's Real Juice
Owned and operated a small specialty jUice company that
produced a preservative-free, natural product made
exclusively from local fruit purchased from family farms.

Responsible for new construction sales and development for
real estate firm.
Co-Founder/Chairman Emeritus
Hudson Valley Fresh
Co-founded and serves on an agricultural 501 c6 not-for-
profit dedicated to marketing agriculture in the Hudson River
Valley. The organization produces a line of products
branded with the Hudson Valley Fresh seal, giving member
farmers a living wage for their product. Considered the
fastest growing regional food system in the country. Oversaw
a 700% increase in Hudson Valley Fresh sales in 2006 through
2009. Addresses audiences at forums throughout the east
coast on Hudson Valley Fresh's success and the need for
support of sustainable agriculture.
Chairman, 100 Miles of Hope Breast Cancer
Walk/Foundation
Founded and chaired a 100-mile, three day walk to raise
money for breast cancer awareness and local assistance to
survivors and their families. The foundation continues to serve
a 9-county area of the Hudson River Valley.
Founder, Hudson Valley Stadium Corporation
Established a 501 c3 not-for-profit to attract minor league
baseball to Dutchess County, New York and built a 4,200
seat professional stadium in a record 72 days.
