Dear Board Members,
On January 31, 1990 an incident occurred at the Town Hall where an
individual identified as Bobby Kortright threatend myself, the Zoning
Administrator and Building Inspector with a gun.
So that you are aware of the situation, attached are copies of the
complaints and court action taken to date.
In addition, a letter was sent to Sheriff Skoralick requesting a
review of the subject's pistol permit, to which no reply has been
received as of this date.

duties as Fire Inspector for the Town of Wappinger,one w/m known to me
as J:I..tifi .KUU.HlGIr,owner/operator of BI&H TIRE SERVIrn,Rout 9D,Town of
Wappinger appeared at the Town Hall wearing a fireai'm secured in a bolster
equipped on a belt attacbIEnt containing about six rOlmds of live mmmiton,
in speaking with Mr.Kortright he stated that the fire access lanes on his site
stated above,were caq>leted and if I wanted to inpsect same to let him know becausE
he would shoot the first son of a bi tch that came on his property.
In the Past Mr. Kortright has verbally indicated that if his building
was held up by officials that he \WJUld use a weapon or attack dog if need be.
I request that the court issue an order of protection on behalf of
the Town of Wappinger Fire Inspector and other enforcanent officers of the TCMn
that have been threatened by this individual.

Judge Francese:
On January 31, 1990, at about 11:00 A:.'1, Mr. Robert Kortwright appeared
at the Town Hall. Mr. Kortwright owns B&H Tire Service, Route 9D in the Town
of Wappinger. At the time he was wearing a firearm secured in a holster.
I explained to Mr. Kortwright that he had to go through the site plan
procedure to get a building permit for his building. He remarked that he
w<Duld build his building permit or no pennit. He also told me not to come on
his property or he would use his gun.
I would like to request that the Town of Wappinger Justice Court issue
an Order of Protection to insure the safety of the Inspectors and Administrators
who have been threatened by this individual.

Dear Sheriff Scoralick,
On January 31,1990 an incident occured at the Town Hall on
Middlebush Road where a subject in the building permit process entered the
Town Hall wearing a holstered weapon and made threats to the Code Enforcement
Officers of the Town of Wappinger.Attached are copies of all the letters,dep-
ositions and order of protection. Trooper Saunders of the New York State Police
in Fishkill was in Town Court at the time and handled the Criminal Summons that
was issued by Judge Francese.
The Code Enforcement Officers of the Town of Wappinger request that
a review of BOBBY KORTRIGHTS' pistol permit be made and any necessary action that
you deem appropriate be taken.
