Morse FROM: Jan Brown CLIENT: Town of Wappinger NO. OF PAGES (including this sheet): 2 DESCRIPTION: Supplementation options MESSAGE: Dear Ms. Morse: Thank you for taking the time to speak with me regarding the supplement we are preparing for the Town of Wappinger Code. As we discussed, this supplement includes Local Law Nos. 1-2004 through 10-2004. Since this supplement affects 38 chapters in the Code, we will also begin the process of converting your Code to our new software publishing system, which is designed to lower costs and improve turnaround time. You will notice a difference in the pagination system for each chapter that is affected by the legislation noted above. Under the new system, page numbers contain the chapter number and page number separated by a colon (e.g., 144:1, 144:2, etc.). The conversion process requires that the first time each chapter is amended, it must be entirely reprinted in order to change all of the page numbers. Therefore, you will receive complete copies of chapters with this supplement. With future changes to those chapters, you will receive only the supplemental pages on which there have been changes. As a result of the conversion to our new publication system, the Town's PC/Code Book and E- Code will be upgraded to our latest versions, giving you easier search and print functions. Your new E-Code will now allow you to view and print entire chapters without scrolling page by page. Because of size ofthis supplement, we would like to offer you two options for updating the Code at this time. OPTION I: Update the Code to include Local Law Nos. 1-2004 through 10-2004 and reprint only the chapters affected by this supplement: $3,200 to $3,500 FAX!a;V , 1'(12./ 0 j Dote: '1- f" General Code Publishers www.generalcode.com , \'t , .".. ~ ~ OPTION II: Update the Code to include Local Law Nos. 1-2004 through 10-2004 and provide the Town with completely new, up-to-date insides for all Code books $3,500 to $3,900 " Based on the size ofthe supplement and the difficulty in updating each book correctly, it is our opinion that Option II is the best approach, guarantying that the supplement is correctly inserted in your Code books and that the Town has 45 completely accurate and up-to-date Code books in use. As requested, we will provide you with 12 Subdivision and 24 Zoning Pamphlets in conjunction with this supplement. The pamphlets will be done at the following prices: r ," .subdivision Pamphlets $105 [ 14 Zoning Pamphlets $358 We are making any needed corrections to the Purchase Order, sent to us with your pamphlet order on July 28, and returning a signed copy to you. We would like to request that you respond to this fax us as soon as possible so the supplement can be completed on time. Please contact me if you have any questions. Sincerely, Jan Brown Account Representative THE TOWN OF WAPPINGER AUTHORIZES General Code Publishers to proceed as follows: ~ION I, supplement and reprint only the amended chapters D OPTION II, supplement and reprint 45 new Code books for insertion in the Town's current binders Signature Date -I;/-?
