Building Permit Process
Dear Supervisor Smith and Board Members:
It has come to my attention in the past month that it would be a good
idea to add a requirement to the building permit process that would
insure to the Town that the house is being constructed to the proper
elevations and yard setbacks.
This additional requirement would be to have the builder submit a
certified intermediute plot plan at the completion of the foundation, prior
to any framing being allowed, showing the following:
o Side Yard Setback
o Front Yard Setback
o Rear Yard Setback
o Elevation of the top course of block for the main house.
o Elevation of the top of block at the garage door.
This plan should be reviewed by the Building Inspector and our office if
necessary. Thls will assist the Town in determining whether or not the
house is being constructed to the elevations and locations as shown on
the original approved preliminary plot plan.
Would you kindly take whatever steps necessary to insert this in the
Building Permit Regulations.
