1983-12-29 RGMThe Year End Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger
was held on December 29th, 1983, at the Town Hall, Mill Street,
Village of Wappingers Falls, Dutchess County, New York.
Supervisor Diehl opened the meeting at 7:40 P.M.
Present:
Louis Diehl, Supervisor
Nicholas Johnson, Councilman
Bernice Mills, Councilwoman
Frank Versace, Councilman
Elaine H. Snowden, Town Clerk
Absent:
Gerard McCluskey, Councilman
This meeting was set at the regular meeting of the Town Board
held December 12th, 1983, for the purpose of closing out the
books for the year and making the necessary transfers, and any
other business that may come before the Board.
A Public Hearing having been held by the Town Board on December
29th, 1983 on a proposed Local Law Amending Local Law No. 1 of
1983 and Local Law No. 9 of 1983 relating to Wildwood Sewer District
Assets of Operating Budget, the matter was now placed before the
Board for their consideration.
MRS. MILLS moved to adopt Local Law #10 of 1983 as follows:
BE IT ENACTED by the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger
that the above local laws are amended as follows:
Section 1. The phrase "single family residential homes"
is deleted from the text thereof, and there shall be substituted
in its place the phrase "residential units", it being the intent
that the credits to be provided shall extend to all residential
units within the improvement district.
Section 2. This local law shall be retroactive to the
effective date of Local Law No. 9 of 1983.
Section 3. This local law shall become effective immediately.

A Public Hearing having been held by the Town Board on December
29th, 1983 on an Ordinance Amending the Ordinance for Administration
and Enforcement of the State Building Construction Code, the matter
was now placed before the Board for thechr consideration.
The following Ordinance Amending the Ordinance for Administration
and EnfOrcement of the State Building Construction Code:
WHEREAS, in 1984 the State of New York has directed that
there be implemented the "Uniform Fire Prevention and Building
Code", and
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger wishes to take those steps
necessary for the administration of the same within the Town of
Wappinger,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Town Board of the Town
of Wappinger that the ordinance adopted by the Town Board on
May 12, 1976 for administration and enforcement of the State
Building Construction Code be amended in the following manner:
1. The title of the ordinance shall be amended to read the
"Town of Wappinger Ordinance for Administering and Enforcing the
Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Construction Code" in place
of the present title.
2. Any reference in said ordinance to the "State Building
and Construction Code" shall be deleted and there shall be
substituted in its place the phrase "Uniform Fire Prevention and
Building Construction Code".
3. This ordinance shall take effect in the manner prescribed
by law (Town Law Section 133).
Seconded by: Councilwoman Mills
Roll Call Vote: 4 Ayes 0 Nays
Budget Transfers had been forwarded from the Comptroller's Office
to the Town Board for their approval, however since these transfers
had no explanations and the Comptroller was not present, the Board
took no action on these transfers.
Mr. Diehl recommended that the meeting be recessed to December 30th,
1983 at 4 P.M. and he would request the Comptroller to be present
to explain the requested transfers.
MR. JOHNSON moved to recess the meeting, seconded by Mrs. Mills
and unanimously carried.
The meeting was recessed to DeceTnber 3Oth, 1983 at 4 P.M.

49 of 1983 relating to Wildwood Sewer District Assets of Operating
Budget.

are attached hereto and made part thereof of the Minutes of this
Hearing).
Supervisor Diehl asked for comments from the public either for
or against the proposed Local Law.
There were no comments either for or against the Local Law from
those present.
Mrs. Mills moved to close the Public Hearing, seconded by Mr.
Johnson and unanimously carried.
