Mr. Hans Gunderud, Building Inspector, was present to speak to
the Board regarding the demolition of an unsafe building in
Hughsonville (Phillips House). A Local Law providing for the
repair or removal of unsafe buildings in the Town had recently
been adopted by the Town Board, however, Mr. Gunderud pointed out
if he proceeded under the normal procedure of this law, it would
take three to four months to complete the demolition. He considered
this to be an emergency situation since he had been trying for
several years to have the building removed and a section of the
law would enable him to immediately arrange for removal of the
building by resolution of the Town Board.
MRS. MILLS moved that the Building Inspector be authorized to
proceed with the demolition of an unsafe building located in
Hughsonville (Phillips House) pursuant to Local Law No. 8 of 1982,
Section 5, adopted by the Town Board on October 13, 1982.
Seconded by Mr. McCluskey
Motion Unanimously Carried

MRS. MILLS moved to close the Special Meeting, seconded by Mr.
Diehl and unanimously carried.
