1982-06-28 SPMA Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger
was held on June 28, 1982 at the Town Hall, Mill Street, Village
of Wappingers Falls, Dutchess County, New York.
Supervisor Diehl opened the meeting at 6:47 P.M.

Louis Diehl, Supervisor
Nicholas Johnson, Councilman
Bernice Mills, Councilwoman
Frank Versace, Councilman
Elaine H. Snowden, Town Clerk
Absent:
Gerard McCluskey, Councilman
Mr. Diehl explained that the meeting was called at the recom-
mendation of the Water and Sewer Committee to solve a problem
at the Russett Lane Pump Station.
Notices were mailed to all Board Members on June 22, 1982 calling
said meeting for June 28, 1982 at 6:45 P.M. and notices were sent
to the three newspapers and four radio stations and posted on the
Town Clerk's Bulletin,Board.
Mrs. Mills explained that a letter was received from Camo Pollution
Control stating the cost of installing an overflow from the pump
station wet well to a septic tank which would be equipped with a
Sani-Tel chlorination system which would be $4,820.00. There is
a problem which has to be corrected and this cost is not exhorbitant;
Mr. Versace then explained the problem.
MRS. MILLS moved that the Town expend the sum of $4,820.00 and
authorize Camo Pollution Control to install an overflow system
for the Russett Lane Pump Station.
Seconded by Mr. Versace
Motion Unanimously Carried
Another letter had been received from Camo Pollutioxm Control
stating that after conducting a careful study of the Oakwood Knolls
Collection System for infiltration they had discovered that a
major portion of the problem came from the easement that runs
along a stream behind Kent Road and they would like to have this
line cleaned and televised at a total cost of $2500.00.
Mr. Johnson said he would have no objection to expending this
money to TV the lines if the Water and Sewer Committe recommended
doing this; Mrs. Mills and Mr. Versace felt that it should be done.
MRS. MILLS moved that the Town expend a Srnot.to exceed $2,500.00
clean and TV the easement along the stream which runs behind Kent
Road and Camo Pollution Control be authorized to do this project.
Seconded by Mr. Versace
Motion Unanimously Carried
There was no other business that came before the Board.
MR. JOHNSON moved to close the Special Meeting, seconded by Mrs.
Mills and unanimously carried.
The Meeting closed at 7:56 P.M.
