Re: Regulation 315.4 - State Employee Retirement System Reporting Requirements
Dear Chris:
r enclose a proposed resolution setting forth the standard work day and hours worked for
each of the Town's employees who participates in the State Employee Retirement System, with
supporting documentati~n.
r have not yet received the time for Mike Kuzmicz but understand that it is forthcoming.
As r understand it, he works only three hours per month.
Please note that r have not received documentation from Councilman William H. Beale.
r believe that he is the only other individual whose time should have been reported but is not.
The absence of his time likely will result in the suspension of his retirement system membership
benefits until such time'as his hours have been submitted to you, adopted by the Town Board by
resolution, and posted.
Once the resolution has been adopted by the Town Council/Board, please complete the
form where indicated and post the same on the Town's website or, if the website is not available
to the public, on the official sign-board or at the main entrance to your office. The resolution
must be posted for at least 30 days.
An affidavit of the posting and a copy of the resolution must be filed with the Office of
the State Comptroller within 45 days of its adoption.
..
"
As I am sure you know, the records provided herewith must be maintained by your office
for 10 years and provided to the State Comptroller upon request.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or require any additional
information.
Very truly yours,
VERGILlS, STENGER, ROBERTS, DAVIS & DIAMOND, LLP
