MORSE SUPERVISOR JOSEPH RUGGIERO TOWN CLERK'S OFFICE 20 MIDDLEBUSH ROAD WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY 12590-0324 (845) 297-5771 TOWN COUNCIL VINCENT BETTINA CHRISTOPHER J. COLSEY JOSEPH P. PAOLONI ROBERT L. VALDATI January 15.2001. Supervisor Ruggiero and Members of the Town Board: The following was accomplished while I was acting in the capacity of Records Management Officer for the Town of Wappinger in the year 2001: An initial meeting with our New York State Records Advisory Officer to review our record storage facilities and record management. Upon his recommendation, Town Records were removed from upstairs in the Highway Building to Oakwood. The vault in Town Hall was cleaned, and some records destroyed according to the MU-1 schedule (see attached sheets). Some records were dated, color coded and relocated to Oakwood for future disposition. The vault floor is now clear, and shelved records are accessible. The only wooden shelving in the vault was replaced with metal shelving. A rolling library stair was refurbished and is in use in the vault.* Some metal shelving was put in place in Oakwood to get records off the concrete floor. Areas were photographed showing initial appearance, and as work progressed. A second meeting with our Records Advisory Officer to inform him of our improvements. Attended New York State Education Department sponsored workshop in reference to grant application. *Graham Foster obtained the rolling library stairs and metal shelving from Texaco at no cost to the Town.
