Re: Proposal for Engineering Services for Town of Wappinger Little League Field at Robinson
Lane Recreation Complex
...
...
Dear Mr. Masterson:
...
Clark Patterson Lee is pleased to present our proposal for the Challenger Little League Field. Our
experience has prepared us well for the scope of work proposed for this project.
...
...
Perhaps of equal importance is our involvement in the community. We have appreciated the opportunity
to serve the Town through our Newburgh office, which will facilitate coordination during the design
process, and allow us to be responsive during planning, design and construction, including timely
resolution of construction issues.
...
...
...
Additionally, our full-service capabilities mean we will be working on the project throughout its duration.
This allows us to be intimately familiar with the project while keeping a close eye on the project budget
and schedule. Client satisfaction is our top priority, and we will work hard to ensure this from start to
finish.
...
...
..
Thank you for considering Clark Patterson Lee for this project. We are excited about the opportunity to
be part of this endeavor and look forward to the opportunity to work with all of those involved. If you have
any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
..
....
....
Very truly yours,
Clark Patterson Lee

ARLINGTON CENTRAL
SCHOOL DISTRICT
TURF FIELDS
Location: Poughkeepsie, NY
Client: Arlington Central School
District
Total Cost: $1.9 million
Completion Date: 2007
Following the installation of field
lighting in 2005, the Arlington
Central School District included
three (3) Artificial Turf fields in
a bond referendum approved
by the taxpayers later that
year. Two fields are for soccer,
football, lacrosse, field hockey,
and marching band, and have
permanent lines (two sports for
each field) incorporated in the
turf. A baseball field (turf in-field)
was also included in the project.
Clark Patterson Lee worked
closely with the District for over
a year to research turf products
and site options to meet budgets
and complex sports activity
schedules. Before the voter
referendum, cost benefit analysis
work was also completed,
comparing the cost of artificial
turf to traditional grass fields.
The evaluation investigated
maintenance, irrigation, and
fertilizer costs, as well as existing
drainage problems, and the
limited use of grass fields due to
weather and overuse.

LEROY CENTRAL
SCHOOL DISTRICT
SHARED COMMUNITY
& SCHOOL DISTRICT
RECREATIONAL, ATHLETIC AND
FITNESS PARK
Location: LeRoy, NY
Client: LeRoy Central School
District
Completion Date: 2009
Total Cost: $620,000
Reference: Brian Foeller; (585)
768-8133
The Towns of LeRoy and Stafford
and the Village of LeRoy operate
recreational soccer, baseball,
football, and softball at youth and
adult levels. Participation in the
youth and adult leagues had grown
to the point where field space was
not available, and the existing fields
were being over-utilized significantly
increasing maintenance costs. To
alleviate the field space concerns and
over-utilization, the School District,
along with the consortium of local
communities, identified District-
owned lands for the development of a
centralized recreational facility.
Clark Patterson Lee was retained to
provide design services for Phase
I that includes the construction of
new baseball, softball and practice
fields. The new shared complex
includes a parking lot, stone dust
trails, irrigation lines, fencing and a
stormwater management facility.
This project was prepared with funds
provided by a New York State Shared
Municipal Services Incentive Grant
that was received by LeRoy Central
School District in cooperation with
the Towns of LeRoy and Stafford and
the Village of LeRoy. Clark Patterson
Lee worked closely with the School
District and local municipalities to
prepare the grant application and
administer the grant process.

FAIRPORT LITTLE LEAGUE
CHALLENGER FIELD
Location: Fairport, NY
Client: Fairport Little League
Total Cost: $300,000
Completion Date: ongoing
Clark Patterson Lee was retained
to design and layout two new
baseball fields. These fields
also included dugout space.
Additionally, Clark Patterson Lee
designed new dugouts for the
eight pre-existing fields. One field
was reconstructed for Challenger
use.
In addition to these new athletic
fields and field renovations,
Clark Patterson Lee developed
the design for a new concession
stand, and also filled the role
of construction administrator,
working closely with Mark
Muench, Director of Challenger
Baseball, whom was just honored
as 2010 Challenger Baseball
Volunteer of the Year.
Clark Patterson Lee was also
utilized to assist Fairport Little
League in acquiring state funding
for the design and construction of
several of these projects.
