Mr. Colsey, I would just like to bring to your attention a situation that occured today at Town Hall, I went in to renew my dogs Licence and I was met by a very rude and obnoxious Town employee in the Town Clerks office, she was not helpfull in the least and didn't even offer to assist me to rectify the situation. I understand that rules and regulations change from the top down, but I should have been treated more politely and respectfully as I am a taxpayer and I do contribute to her salery. I left there still unsure of WHY I was being told to get my dog a new rabies vaccine when her current vaccine is valid til November of2009. I WOULD APPRECIATE IF YOU COULD LOOK INTO THIS MATTER AND GET BACK TO ME A.S.A.P. Things are tough in this ecconomy and being asked to spend money unnecessarily is UNNACEPT ABLE. Thanks again for looking into this matter. 10/1/2009 October 1,2009 On September 29, a resident came in to renew her dog license. Sue Rose tried to process her request. When she couldn't, she called the vet of the animal to have the rabies certificate faxed. I witnessed Sue Rose trying to accommodate the resident's request to the best of her ability. She was not rude or obnoxious. i~d-~ Christine Fulton September 30, 2009 On September 29,2009 a resident came to my window to renew her dog license. She handed me her receipt from the veterinarian's office. I explained that I needed the certificate because it had the tag number, serial number and the manufacture needed to complete the license. I explained that I would call the veterinarian's office and have them fax it to me so she would not have to go there and it would save her a trip. The veterinarian's office explained that they would not fax anything over because they did not administer the rabies vaccine. The vaccination was administered by Petco. The vaccine was going to expire in one month and I could not renew her dog license. She asked if there was a rabies client that I knew of; I explained that she just missed ours. Christine Fulton suggested that she call the Dept. of Health because they may be able to direct her to any that are in the area. The resident thanked us and left. 4~
