2008-2012 Consolidated Plan ~ .. PUBLIC HEARING 2008-2012 CONSOLIDATED PLAN The Dutchess County Department of Planning and Development and the City of Poughkeepsie's Office of Social Development announce the publication of the draft 2008-2012 Consolidated Plan. The County and City are required to prepare a Consolidated Plan in accordance with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development regulations. The draft Consolidated Plan outlines the priorities for the allocation of Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnership funds over the next five years. You are invited to attend the public hearings on the draft Consolidated Plan at which time the public will be given the opportunity to comment on the proposed priorities. Two public hearings will be held. The public hearing on the County's section of the Plan will be held on July 26, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Dutchess County Department of Planning and Development, 27 High Street 2nd Floor, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. The public hearing on the City's section of the Plan will be held on Monday, July 30, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at the City of Poughkeepsie Common Council Chambers 3rd Floor, City Hall, 62 Civic Center Plaza, Poughkeepsie, NY. Persons requiring special assistance in attending these sessions, such as sign interpreters, foreign language interpreters and/or assistance with mobility, must contact Elizabeth Doyle, Community Development Administrator at (845) 486- 3600 or Linda MacIsaac for the City of Poughkeepsie at (845) 452-4018 by July 19,2007. Copies of the draft plan are available for review beginning Tuesday July 10, 2007at various locations throughout the County including the Dutchess County Department of Planning and Development, 27 High Street, Poughkeepsie; City of Poughkeepsie Office of Social Development, City Hall, 62 Civic Center Plaza and the following libraries: Starr Library, 66 West Market St., Rhinebeck; Howland Public Library, 313 Main St., Beacon and Amenia Free Library, 3309 Route 343, Amenia. The full Consolidated Plan, which outlines the priorities, is also available on the internet at Dutchess County's web site at www.dutchessny.gov and the City's web site at www.cityofpoughkeepsie.com/communityd.html. Copies will also be available for purchase at the Planning Department for a $7.00 printing fee. Comments and/or suggestions submitted at or following the public hearings will be taken into consideration and included as appropriate in the final Consolidated Plan. Written comments will be accepted until Wednesday, August 8, 2007.
