Mr. Jensenmentioned that he hada call from rMr. "Lapar' si office: t_ 3
concerning a, small ,water ,leak at 39 Tor. Road. Discussion then
followed on where the responsibility lies regarding the water lines

He is still of the opinion that from the main to the curb box should
be the Town's responsibility. Should the problems be handled on an
individual basis or should they abide by the position they now have--

that from the main line to the owner's house is the homeowner's
responsibility to take care of leaks, etc. Mr. Clausen's reaction
was that the Town should assume responsibility from the main only
to the property line to avoid problems of trespass.
MR. JENSEN moved to direct the Highway Superintendent, the Engineer
to the Town and the operator to check the leak at 39 Tor Road,
ascertain if the leak is in the service line between the curb box
and the main line and if so, to repair said leak.
