Others Present:
Allan Rappleyea, Attorney to the Town
Rudolph Lapar, Engineer to the Town
Mr. Diehl indicated that the first order of business to be taken
up would be the drainage program as presented by Rudolph Lapar.
MR. CLAUSEN moved that the Drainage Program be accepted and the
Engineer be authorized to execute the cdntract in accordance with
Mr. Lapar's recommendation of May 2, 1973.

Mr. Diehl stated a motion would be appropriate releasing Mr. Mihans
as an employee of the Town for the Town's Sewer and Water Districts,
due to the fact that the Town of Wappinger is employing Camo Pollu-
tion Control Inc. in our Water and Sewer Plant system.
MR. CLAUSEN moved that the Town Clerk notify William Mihans as of
June 1, 1973, that he would no longer be an employee of the Town
of Wappinger as Superintendent of the Water and Sewer Districts,

1 0,
Mr. Diehl asked what the Board wished to consider next --PUD,
clustering, adding that the Planning Board had asked the Town
Board to take some action on clustering, as a matter of policy.
Mr. Jensen felt that clustering was paramount now, in front of
PUD. Mr. Saland mentioned that Carol Raymond from the Dutchess
County Department of Planning would be willing to arrange a tour
for the Board.Mr. Jensen believed a trip like this would be
beneficial since the term clustering was interpreted differently
by each individual in some ways. But perhaps some thoughts on it
should be thrown out tonight. Mr. Saland and Mr. Clausen felt a
work shop session would be better. A date was discussed for a
tour, and it was decided that Mr. Rappleyea would confirm either
the 5th or 6th of June•, and that Miss Pike and Mr. Steinhaus should
be invited. A lengthy discussion also ensued as to which way to
approach cluster zoning.
Mr. Clausen and Mr. Holt discussed the position of Comptroller.
Mr. Clausen said he felt the whole Board should interview the
two applicants and make a decision as a whole, based on what
qualifications they deemed most valuable. It was decided to
discuss these topics further at a work shop session to be arranged
at a later date.
MR. CLAUSEN moved that, contingent upon receipt of written approval
from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation
of the Central Wappinger Water Improvement, the low bid of Lombardi
and Son for Contract #1, Central Wappinger Water Improvement be
accepted, and further that the Supervisor be empowered and authorized
to execute the Contract #1 for Central Wappinger Water Improvement
with the low bidder Lombardi and Son.
Seconded by Mr. Holt.
Motion Unanimously Carried

MR. HOLT moved that Rudolph Lapar, P.E. Engineer to the Central
Wappinger. Water Improvement, be authorized to prepare plans and
specifications to go to bid on the water lines to be constructed
in De•Garmo Hills Road. Said road is acknowledged to be in the -
Central Wappinger Water Improvement.
Seconded by Mr. Clausen.
Motion Unanimously Carried
MR. HOLT moved that the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Mr.
Clausen and unanimously carried.
The meeting adjourned at 9:35 P.M.
