Bidder is cautioned to list any and all deviations from these specifications in order for their bid to receive full consideration. The side height of the body shall be 54 inches at the front and 44 inches at the rear with the X' tailoate height 50 inches. The body capacity shall be 9.00 cubic yards, X water level full. The unit shall be continuously welded 100% X throughout. The sides, front and tailgate shall be X manufactured of 3/16" A569 steel. The longsills shall be fabricated from ~" A569 X steel, 14" deep. The longsills shall be joined as follows: . Sections of 4" x 5.4# channel are welded every two feet the length of the spreader at X the base of the longs ills, where the longsills are then boxed in with ~" A569 steel. . Then there shall be 3/16" x 3" x 3" structural angle welded every 12" the full length of the conveyor at the top of the lonosills. Additional reinforcement will be provided by a 3/16" formed box section, placed at the rear of X the spreader body and tied to two rear posts formed from 3/16" A569 steel. Together, they shall provide support at the rear of the body. Extended length, body mounted fenders of 3/16" X A569 steel shall be furnished with the body. The tailgate shall be manufactured from 3/16" A569 steel with a boxed perimeter of 10 gauge X formed channels. The tailgate shall be double acting with a squared ^ perimeter, having two horizontal braces of 10 oauoe material full width of the tailgate. The material door shall extend 16" into the interior of the body to prevent material from X escaping through the partially opened door over the conveyor. The door openings shall be 21" in width by 8-1/2" in height and shall be manufactured of 3/16" X material. Doors will be screw jack adjustable with jack handles easily accessible from the ground. Door height shall be indicated with a permanent marker (decals are not acceptable). The tailgate shall have 1" x 4" bar stock tailgate X hardware with 1-1/4" hardened pins. The tailgate latches shall be 1" flame cut, with 'f each latch being adjustable with threaded %" clevis and keeper pins. The pump mounting shall be incorporated with a bracket fabricated to mount in the extended frame rails of the truck. DRIVE LINE: The hydraulic pump shall be driven directly off the engine crankshaft via a splined driveline to allow for movement. The driveline shall include grease fittings on both u- joints. Driveline shall be a Force America model 1310 series. SHUT DOWN SYSTEM: A single normally open, two position, two way, poppet style solenoid valve capable of stopping oil flow to the hydraulic system when actuated. The valve shall be mounted directly to the hydraulic pump discharge port. The valve assembly must also incorporate a high pressure relief valve to protect the system from over pressurizing during system shut down. This solenoid valve shall be wired to a float type level indicator that is mounted from the top of the reservoir. The system shall be designed so that when the float contacts close, the solenoid valve stops pump flow and an enunciator in the cab that is on a control panel alerts the driver. The control panel will also incorporate an override switch wired to de-energize the shut down system to facilitate diagnostics and equipment storage. RESERVOIR! VALVE ENCLOSURE: . . Hydraulic filter shall be a 16- micron absolute and rated for'no less than 60 GPM. Filter shall be model TEF31016VG16SP-UG60E115 or prior approved equal and include visual and electrical bypass indicators. A warning light shall be mounted in the cab and wired to the electrical indicator. The system shall be delivered with one spare filter element. HYDRAULIC CONTROL VALVE: Control valve shall be U.S. manufactured, Valve shall be a load sensing type with o-ring ports. Mid-inlet section porting will be # 16 inlet, #20 outlet, #16 hoist section, #4 load sense port, and #10 or #12 for all other sections. The hoist section shall be stacked to one side of the mid-inlet and all other sections will be stacked on the other side, Ali ports shall be level with each other so as to lay Hat on its base. These valves shall be mounted in a housing that is made of aluminum with gray anodizing for corrosion resistance and durability. The auger/conveyor shall be a 15 GPM spool and the spinner shall be a 7 GPM spool. The electrical connections shall be weatherpacks. SPREADER CONTROL CONSOLE: The electronic spreader control shall be designed for precise Open Loop control of granular material. The spreader control shall regulate the auger and spinner speeds. There shall be two individual detented knobs providing proportional control from closed to fully open on the control valve of the auger and spinner. Front face panel shall have "standby" indicator light activated by pushing the auger dial, blast mode adjustable tor momentary or timed up to 16 seconds with cancellation and flashing indicator light. Other features shall include remote standby and blast inputs, reverse polarity protected, adjustable back lighting via vehicle controls. The unit must provide operational modes for manual or open loop (ground speed only). Spreader control shall be Force America model SSC-2100 or prior approved equal. InControl CONSOLE Cab Control to be InControl brand modular designed console, floor mounted, using non- adjustable height. The console tower will include top and front Remote Valve Control (RVC) stick bays. The RVC cable control heads will mount into the top bay and a 2100 series electronic spreader control will mount into the front bay. Console will include a removable rear cover to allow ease of installation and future service access. The cables must be bulkhead type connections at the hydraulic valve sections. Valve controls shall be mounted at the right of the driver. The hoist section shall have a center lock to prevent accidental actuation. A combination of single or dual axis levers stacked together for operation of the remaining sections in hydraulic valve bank. The controllers shall be mounted in a totally enclosed tower. Cable core shall be stainles s steel capable of 100 pounds of push and pull. HYDRAULIC LINES AND PLUMBING: All hydraulic lines and plumbing shall be of sufficient capacity so as not to create heat or turbulence within hydraulic system. Suction line between reservoir and pump shall be a minimum of2 in. J.D. with a minimum SAE 100-R4 rating and shall be secured on both ends via heavy duty banding straps, radiator hose clamps unacceptable. All pressure hoses, including signal sense to pump shall have swivel fittings on both ends and have a minimum SAE 100-R2 rating. Return lines and case drain shall have minimum SAE 100- R1 rating. Hydraulic lines shall be routed to minimize interference with equipment and chassis components requiring periodic servicing. Support brackets, grommets, and tie wraps shall be provided where appropriate to protect lines from damage by abrasion, cutting or impact. Hoses shall not be routed near exhaust manifolds pipes, bolts, sharp edges, and exhaust system to prevent wear, fatigue, or fire. Pipe fittings are not acceptable in any high- pressure line. Maximum distance between support clamps on all hydraulic lines shall be 24in. .'
