Resolution Appointing a Municipal Code Enforcement Inspector - Part -Time, Temporary
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New
York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on July 25, 2011.
The meeting was called to order by Christopher Colsey, Supervisor, and upon roll being called,
the following were present:
PRESENT: Supervisor - Christopher J. Colsey
Councilmembers - William H. Beale (Arrived 6:32PM)
Vincent F. Bettina
Joseph P. Paoloni
ABSENT: Ismay Czarniecki
The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Beale and seconded by Councilman
Paoloni.
WHEREAS, Salvatore Morello III, Municipal Code Enforcement Inspector and current Building
Department Head, has advised the Town Board that the Building Department is in need of a part-time
Code Enforcement Officer to assist the Building Department on a temporary, part-time basis, due to the
amount of pending permit applications, Uniform Code inspections, Certificates of Occupancy and
municipal searches/inspections.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and
adopted herein.
2. The Town Board hereby authorizes the appointment of John Fenton, a Municipal Code
Enforcement Inspector, at a salary not to exceed Twenty-three Dollars per hour
($23.00/hr), for a period not to exceed 90 days.
3. The Municipal Code Enforcement Inspector - Part -Time, Temporary will be assigned to
the Building Department and shall have such duties as assigned by Salvatore Morello III.
4. The salary of the Municipal Code Enforcement Inspector - Part -Time, Temporary, shall
be paid from budget line B3620.100, for a maximum weekly average of 17.5 hours.
