Dear Joe:
I am in receipt of a copy of a letter dated May 12, 2003 signed by various residents of
Carmel Heights protesting the planting of street trees. Street trees are requirements of
our Subdivision Regulations. The planting of street trees generally are included in the
Subdivision Bond posted by the developer. In order to avoid the planting of the street
trees, the developer will have to apply to the Planning Board for an amendment to his
Resolution of Subdivision Approval authorizing a waiver of the planting of these trees.
I would suggest discussing this matter with the Chairman of the Planning Board, Jay
Paggi, Graham Foster and Dan Wery before any formal response is given.
