1995-07-18 ~ ~ July 18, 1995 Memo To: Supervisor C. Smith and Town Board Members From: Joe Incoronato Subject: Chelsea Pump Station New York City recently applied for a conceptual review of plans to build a temporary storage building at its Chelsea Pump House on River Road. This was undertaken at the July 17 Planning Board meeting which I attended, and at which time I suggested they ask the NYC Water Department to consider installation of a tap for some 100 Chelsea homeowners in dire need of an unpolluted water supply. In response to my suggestion, P.B. Chairman Bill Parsons indicated he wanted the Town Board to give him direction on the water tap proposal. ~ Therefore, I would like to include in our July 24 T.B. meeting agenda a brief discussion and motion to advise the Planning Board to request that New York City consider installation of a water tap as part of its proposed construction at the Chelsea emergency facility. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding the above, please contact me at 892-7528 or 896-8140. Thank you for your cooperation in this important matter. cc: Mr. W. Parsons
