cial support for the men's Basketball League, and had been informed
that the Recreation Commission would allocate their anticipated
deficit, but would have to have approval from the Town Board before
they can give it to them. He presented the Board with an income
and expense sheet for their perusal. Mr. Diehl commented that
the policy the Town has been operatingunder is, that, such items
as basketball hasn't been included in Recreation, as this could
lead to subsidizing bo wling, football etc. Mr. Bitterlich under-
stood that about three years ago the Town of Wappinger said they
would fsupport the entire basketball league. He also understood
that the reason the Town stopped sponsoring was because it was
rumored this leagues' bank account was such that they didn't need
suppdtt. Mr. Diehl stated that Board members would receive copies
of the Leagues' expenses and it would be discussed at the January
