1969-06-23 SPMWAIVER OF NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF WAPPINGER DUTCHESS COUNTY, NEW YORK The undersigned, being all of the members of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, do hereby waive notice of the time and place of the holding of a Special Meeting of said Town Board, and do hereby agree and consent that the same be held on the 23rd day of June, 1969, at 7:00 o'clock in the afternoon of that day at the Town Hall of the Town of Wappinger, Mill Street, in the Village of Wappingers Falls, Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, for the transaction of all business which may properly come before the meeting or any adjournment thereof. £d ncilman Councilman Due and timely notice of the above mentioned meeting is hereby admitted. LL.LLA n ZAJI CAA L Town Clerk Town of Wappinger A Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger was held June 23, 1969. All the Board members being present and having signed the above waiver, each for himself. Supervisor Diehl opened the meeting at 7:30 P.M. Others Present: Allan Rappleyea, Attorney to the Town Rudolph Lapar, Engineer to the Town Joseph Ludewig, Buildi'hg Inspector MR. FINNAN moved that Superintendent of Highways, William Horton, Attorney to the Town Allan Rappleyea, and Engineer to the Town, Rudolph Lapar, be authorized to negotiate for the purchase of property owned by Robert C. Barber, (Old Route 9, adjacent to the Highway Dept. property), and attempt to have a firm figure to present to the Board by the Regular Town Board Meeting, July 14, 1969. Seconded by Mr. Clausen. Motion Unanimously Carried A letter was received from Rudolph Lapar regarding emergency repairs and operation and maintenance of the Fleetwood M anor Sewer and Water Districts, and requesting authorization to get these systems in operating order. MR. HEADY moved that Rudolph Lapar, P.E. as engineer to the Sewer and Water Districts be put in charge of overall Administration, Joseph Gutmann be made operational supervisor of the facilities of the Fleetwood Manor Sewer & Water Districts, at a total annual salary (both Water & Sewer) of $2,500.00 per year, Mr. Anthony Matire be authorized to maintain and operate the Fleetwood Manor Sewer and Water Districts' facilities under the direct supervision of Mr. Gutmann at a total annual salary of $2,400.00 per year. In addition to operating the systems, Mr. Matire will also read the meters, immediate authorization to expend fund, not to exceed statutory requirements , for the following goods and services or any others that may be deemed of a necessary nature: electrician water meters (to replace broken meters), lawn mower, cleaning of sludge holding tank, chemicals, etc. Seconded by Mr. Clausen. Motion Unanimously Carried MR. CLAUSEN moved for the Attorney for the Fleetwood District to submit to the Board formal resolutions setting the rates for the Fleetwood Manor Water District and Fleetwood Manor Sewer District. Seconded by Mr. Mills. Motion Unanimously Carried MR. DIEHL moved that the request of Robert Magdalany, Sanitary Land -Fill Contractor, for $150.00 per day for operating the Land -Fill be granted effective as of June 16, 1969. Seconded by Mr. Mills. Motion Unanimously Carried The Clerk noted that three petitions had been filed with her from Hilltop Water Works Corp. requesting approval of the extension of its water lines, by the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger pursuant to Local Law #2, 1967. The Clerk presented the petitions to the Board. MR. FINNAN moved the petitions be referred to the Engineer to the Town and the Attorney to the Town. Seconded by Mr. Mills.
